A 40-year-old man was arrested in Meerut for allegedly strangling his 14-year-old daughter and dumping her body in a canal. He confessed to the crime, stating he was angered by her taking Rs 500 without permission, which he considered 'stealing'. The girl's mother revealed her husband misled her about their daughter's whereabouts and later threatened her.
