Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has voiced concerns about the IPL Impact Player rule. He believes it reduces the skill element in cricket. Several other Indian players share similar sentiments. The rule allows an extra player, impacting the traditional balance of the game. Gill feels it makes matches more predictable. The rule is set to continue until 2027.
