I want to learn all that I reasonably can about angels. Because they were created as emissaries for the preeminent man. And to better understand this great gift God has given to man, would be to better use and benefit from it.
Preeminence in a biblical context refers to the supreme status of Jesus Christ, indicating His superiority and authority over all creation and the Church. This concept is highlighted in Colossians 1:18, which states that Christ is the head of the Church and is to have preeminence in all things. Bible Hub
In the biblical context, an emissary refers to an individual sent on a mission or as a representative, often carrying messages on behalf of a higher authority, such as God or a leader. This term is closely associated with roles like apostles and prophets, who act as intermediaries between God and His people. Bible Hub
(Hebrews 1:14)Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
As Peter was in his cell chained between two guards, “the church was earnestly praying to God for him” (Acts 12:5). “Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists” (Acts 12:7).
In Scripture, angels encouraged and attended the Lord Jesus after He was tempted in the desert for forty days and forty nights (Matthew 4:11) and as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:43). Paul was encouraged by an angel during a storm at sea (Acts 27:23–24).
Providing protection for believers is another service that angels perform (see Psalm 91:11). An army of angels surrounded Elisha in (2 Kings 6), protecting him from the Arameans. Daniel was protected in the lions’ den by an angel who “shut the mouths of the lions” (Daniel 6:22).
