Moderate magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes near Volos, Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece

An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred just 15 minutes ago, 64 km southeast of Volos, Greece, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake struck at a shallow depth of 10. km beneath the epicenter near Volos, Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece, on the morning of Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 9:42 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their reports.
A second report was later issued by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), which listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake.
