Supreme Court has agreed to hear the application from the Centre regarding Tadasha Mishra's appointment as Jharkhand DGP. The appointment has been challenged due to its conflict with procedures set in the SC's 2006 Prakash Singh judgement. Moreover, the Centre claimed that prior DGP appointments in Jharkhand were also illegal for similar reasons. Mishra's appointment occurred shortly before her retirement, which raised legal concerns.
