Most Cases?? dont think so? surely Ubi want poeple to not view their services,illegally or fta for the future ,suppose is their rights! so they implement changes to update the firmware of mentor boxes,by whatever means?Happens evenwhile ,just map channels and no forced update ,just ask around?I have and there are a few stb growing in numbers with Ird disabled,errors.
