If your motor supports USALS then there is an easier way.

get a GPS or ask someone close to you what your coordinates are and stick The values in your satellite set top box. If you cannot find a GPS and you live in Melbourne then 37.67S - 144.84E should do.

Set up your elevation on the dish to 46.3° and the azimuth to true north. That’s about 11,424° East of magnetic north (compass).

The box with USALS will automatically find each satellite for you.

If the dish moves the wrong way than where you expect it to go to your coordinate settings and change your location from S to N. This is how you fool the motor into thinking you live in the Northern hemisphere.

[ 24.
