Yes that's correct lazer but still not taking the freq, it seems to go back to encrypted UBI channels. The orange signal light has gone altogether.

Mate I bought it from my parents house to mine and still same problem. He said Mon night when he was watching TRT it just froze, he thought it was from Sat, he turned it off and turned it back on Tue morn and the picture was exactly the same frozen picture from the night before. I tried all the freq, but still nothing. I was hoping somebody could put me on the right track.

No Fsking still no good tried that too. I thought I remembered somebody else with this prob a month or so back and Liski said that UBI would rehit their box or something ( they were non UBI subscribers and also couldn't watch the FTA channels). Does anybody remember this. I wonder can this be the prob??

Tks for the offer whome, BTW I actually have a good FTA box but now gave it to the old man so he can watch his beloved TRT-INT. I have been considering joining UBI for the Turkish package( as we have no other choice like the Arab or Balkans) on other providers. I'm just waiting for the shit( excuse the French but that's what it;s been like here in this form lately) to settle B4 I join UBI. They have noe ascerted confidence yet, and as an ex0tarbs customer(not burnt luckily) I watch B4 I take steps this time!!
Againg Whome, Tks for the offer.

What's FEC? How is it adjusted on a tarb box 3100.

It seems like UBI has encrypted the freq:12525v, doesnt matter what we try to do, cant load up the channels at all.

Anyone had the same problems?

It shouldn't matter what kind of box you have, if you have a screen where you can alter the freq. there you can chg. all values: freq. symbol rate, polariz. & FEC.
Highlight FEC field then press the right botton to change FEC to "AUTO", then go to "search".
Goog lick.
Tom

Chika Tomo, It does matter what kind of box you have! specially when its a Tarbs MDS-3100 box.

-.Laser.-, you are right with your comments as there is no settings for FEC & box auto detects when in search mode.

steven, you might have a wrong LNB position. I recommend you to follow the instructions given by Darth Vader. Simply, look at the dish from the front and make sure the cable connected to the LNB is lined up at around 5 o'clock mark when compared with analog watch.

I have the same probs with 12525. I can easily get 12658. The LNB is exactly at the position Drath vade have mentioned. the signal quality is 36%.

When I turn the dish about 1-2 degs to the east the box try to seek signal from transponders 12407, 12527, and 12720 ( 30000, vertical) and it says all info recieved but shows no TV channels (just ESPN, CNN,NGC,... from old Tarb channels).

However, turning the dish 1-2 degs to west again to its original position, it quickly lock on 12658 vertical(only) and shows all globecast channels on that frequency.

Can you think of anything I have to do?Please help if you can.

Yes thankyou YU4CFG, sorry Farseas but this has been the problem with the TARBS/UBI boxes, The UBI mentor Box is a Pay TV box and don't like to be played with too many times.

Thanks Drath Vader and Thanks Phil,

The box has been operating very friendly so far. Finally I am able to get both Globecast transponder with my box.Special tanks to Drath Vader and Steven.

Should I mind if the box will be corrupted? I have to by a FTA box in future anyway. I could still give Panamsat a malfunctioning box couldn't I? Why Phil and myself should be worried about?

Lets just help each other and do not care about those who collapsed TARBS without bringing our channels to us,or providing an alternative way for that service (here in Australia). They do not care about us, Do they?

Phil, when you are so concern about their property, I get a bad feeling.
