Liski help!!!

I used to be able to watch all the channels on my 3100 box, now I get "not authorised" on channels 32, 35 & 37. But I'm still able to watch channels 33, 34 & 36. Funny isn't it, I've tried everything known to me to fix it but to no avail. Can you help?

Nick,

Try Unplugging the IRD from the power point and then plug it back on and do a Mapping Channels and see how you go.

same thing happened to my in-law's 3100. all went to not authourised. UBI must have sent some sort of signal, and I don't believe they would do anything to solve it if you're not a subscriber.

they didn't help ppl with locked boxes before the encryption took place. why would they do it now?

The channels are FTA but the TARBS boxes are not FTA boxes and sometime need a rehit sent to get the channels back. If you want PM me your IRD/SC number from the IRD Menu.

Also you don't have to be a paying subscriber for help for the FTA channels. You just need to have a contract sent out to you. You just need to send the contract back when encryption is near by.

[ 06. February 2005, 06:56 AM: Message edited by: Liski ]

Liski
From all the installs that i have done.
All the arabic customers are happy with the package
so its thumbs up and are saying its heaps better than the tarbs days.
All the turkish customers are happy with the package
and are thumbs up and are saying its better than the tarbs days.
Now for the Balkans package lots are sitting back and waiting as if the above two packages are a indication UBI could have a better and cheaper package then tvplus.
I have asked Phil this question and he laughed over the phone, he knows something and not telling us, Is the Balkans package going to be as big as say the turkish package, please post or pm me if you want.

Liski,

Quick question for you or someone from UBI. Asking on behalf of an old couple, my neighbours. They want to subscribe to UBI Arab package and having a change to by an old TARBS box by with the message IRD disabled - is that box still gonna be OK. Once you send a signal to their receiver once they subscribe, is it gonna fix that or is it just waste of the time and money.

It's STB 3100 box.

Appreciate.

If the box fires up, all the channels POSITIONS appear (maybe Channel 68 to 72 could be missing) and all channels from 1 to 67 show IRD disabled the box should be ok as long as the box's software is not corrupted. Just cheak the Menu to see all looks ok and ALSO check to see that the card and box Id comes up when you withdraw the card and put it back in, if not the box is modded or stuffed.

Thanks for that. I don' think that software would be corrupted since people that owns it not hardly know how to use TV controller not to talk about computers therefore there is no chance of the box being modified.

Thanks for that info.

95% of the time the box above will be ok. It all depends how much they want for the box.

As long as you don't buy a dud from ebay, for me a private sale would be better because you can check it.
