UBI WORLD TV TO LAUNCH NEW PERSIAN TV SERVICE FOR AUSTRALIA’S FARSI SPEAKING COMMUNITY

Press Release: 4th May 2005

UBI WORLD TV has today announced plans to launch a Persian TV service for Australia’s Farsi speaking community. In the coming weeks UBI WORLD TV will launch its new Persian TV package containing 2 or 3 premium quality independent Farsi language TV channels. All channels will be available 24 hours per day via direct-to-home satellite exclusively in Australia through UBI WORLD TV.

In announcing this news UBI WORLD TV Chief Executive Officer, Sam Bilge said, “UBI WORLD TV is proud to offer Australia’s Farsi speaking community access to a choice of TV channels that provide essential information and entertainment from leading independent and international Persian broadcasters. By offering Australia’s Persian community a choice of 2 or 3 Farsi language channels the UBI WORLD TV Persian Package will provide Farsi speakers the most affordable and best value for money Persian TV service available in Australia”.

When UBI WORLD TV’s Persian TV channels become available there will be a choice of 2 subscription packages. The World TV Basic package will contain one Persian TV channel plus a limited selection of the other UBI WORLD TV channels for $49.95 per month. The World TV Plus package will contain 2 or 3 Persian TV channels plus all the UBI WORLD TV channels for $59.95 per month. People who were previously Tarbs World TV subscribers and still have the satellite dish and decoder installed within their homes can use this equipment to receive the UBI WORLD TV signal, which currently broadcasts channels in a variety of different languages including Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, Macedonian and Bosnian. All they need to do is redirect the satellite dish to the Optus B3 satellite, which UBI WORLD TV uses to transmit its signal.

Those wanting to receive the service that do not currently have a satellite dish and UBI WORLD TV compatible decoder will need to purchase this equipment and have it installed within their home. Details on the cost of equipment and installation can be obtained from UBI WORLD TV by calling 1300 400 800.

For people wanting to enquire about UBI WORLD TV’s Persian TV package more information is available by calling 1300 400 800.

About UBI WORLD TV
United Broadcasting International Pty Ltd (UBI WORLD TV) is Australia’s leading multicultural subscription television provider. Excuse me but this a crock!
You go on about value but above report shows the FARSI stuff is 1 channel for $49

giving them other ethnic channels is irrelevent unless they understand various other languages
the value is NIL

Yes but, I bet they can all Understand English, Go back to the TARBS days, Now what did they do when they introduced ONE polish chanel ONLY for $50, What happened 7 weeks later with that One Polish channel, See if the Other providers will do the Same.
Globcast has been there for years and they have done nothing what I'm getting at, and I wonder if TV plus and Others will be the same as Globecast or UBI in the very near future.

Sorry what ENGLISH channels do UBI currently have? I must of missed the announcement.

Which other channels are the Persians going to get?

Globecast are not a pay tv service provider! they are a platform for other 3rd partys.

When UBI WORLD TV’s Persian TV channels become available there will be a choice of 2 subscription packages. Were you around when TARBS first started? Yes Have you forgotten that also TARBS started with no English channels. Yes I know Globecast is a Carrier and that's is the reason why anyone that buy any services of them will get ripped off because they will NEVER get English channels, I doubt that TV plus will ever get English Channels and if there is a New Pay TV provider that has a Good Chance of Supplying English channels again it will be UBI.

Apsattv has a good point about the value for money for Persian channels in comparison to the Arabic and Turkish channels.

On the other hand he always has a negative view of UBI.

I'm not against UBI. You will see on my site I do write that they have added this or that channel etc.

I just think they go about the wrong way of doing things.

Arrrrrrrrrgh well thats life The Arabic customers on UBI have a big smile on their face for their $$$ and just think they might end up with Other channels for the same price in the Next few months and that will give them an even bigger smile on their face.
But I do feal pity for the One channel customers that are paying around $50 just for that. The way I look at it is, the more UBI make the more they can put back into the business to make it a better service for ALL.
