Just scouting around the forums and I found this and now you know why this company UBI is fighting back to control piracy. Have a look at this TARBS thread its 10 kms long with over 100,000 views alone, too long to read them all, just read a few here and there and the last ones there is your answer, why your boxes are being disabled. Cathy is your box disabled? She is a long thread and I bet UBI know all about it and at the end of the day its there problem to fix this.

Right but if the Pirates are serious about hacking UBI etc. They will go straight to box manufacturers in China and get them to build an MDS clone.<br /><br />They can clone anything in just a few weeks.<br /><br />Bet you would like one of these NDS/Irdeto dual pvr units!<br /><br />Yep it takes legit irdeto cards and NDS cards!

Pirates don't want legit cards, they want no cards thus you have the Dreambox. well if pirates want clones made in China go let them but remember they have to sell them and who wants to be caught selling them. Now I know there is a suppliers of the Other chinese boxes (Telstar 18, Videoland Pas 8)and they are coming out of NZ and if they are coming out of NZ I bet most know who it is.

Nothing illegal about selling FTA units from China. But the Skynet sub cards can be bought legally from local agents

Wherever there is a fast buck to make you can bet the Chinese will be involved, again only time will tell and its up to UBI to do there bit to stop it .

Guys i was just wondering, for the pirated boxes and the chipped boxes that are getting UBI for free, how long will they be getting it for free and when will ubi stop them, that if they can?

actually i'm registed with UBI i pay $60 every month and i've had my box for a long time since tarbs was first out!

We had a problem only last week but its ok now the only thing we need now to make us happier is a few English channels and we will be back where we were back in the TARBS era but with better Spanish channels.
