mule,

At this time UBI WORLD TV have no plans for launching an Italian service.

However, you can call UBI WORLD TV and leave your details, should the circumstances change we will be in contact with you.

Thanks Liski,
My problem is that I am thinking to get a FTA dish, which will cost me over $1k. It would be a pity to find out that I could get it through Ubi after have it installed.
Anyway, do you know why Ubi decided to leave out the Italian community, which is the largest foreign community in Australia?
Cheers.

Italians might be the largest foreign community in Australia but it doesn't always mean TARBS had a high number of Italian subscribers.

I think there were more watching it then paying for it if you get my drift

I don't think so. percentagewise it must be the same.

To what i know the Italian subscribers on TARBS were the lowest number out of all the languages that TARBS had

It may be the biggest ethnic community in Australia but proberly a handful subscribed

yeah however lazer u gotta think of how many did copy the actual system I think there were a lot lot more of ppl watching it rather than subscribed on it...if it makes sense...I think it would be intresting to know the no. of customers that tarbs has had IF everyone was paying their subsc.

My 2 cents worth on this and my final say

There were proberly more Irainians subscribed to TARBS then Italians and as we know Iranians is a small group that subscribed to TARBS now UBI so work that out

I think that the problem with the Italian community is that Rai International has always been available on Optus/Foxtel, which a lot of Italians subscribed, getting all the sport and movie channels as a bonus. they're basically happy with what they have. to make the swap they maybe need a good incentive, like a top class Italian package
but I also think that a lot of non-Italians would still watch the Italian soccer on Rai. isn't it?
