There is a msg on HRT that Globecast will encrypt this program from the 1st of Feb. in order to improve the quality.<br />Anyone know more about this?

Improve quality??? this is the first time I heard that encryption used in order to improve the signal quality. What's going on! Do I miss something here?...

well I am thinking they want people to pay in order to improve the quality of the channel, well picture, as it not that good at the moment comapred to some other tv channels!

What I strongly reccommend here to all providers, not to encryp any channel in order to improve the quality. If it's so important which provider to settle then, ppl should wait to see the final quality of those channells. Ppl can make the final decision based on the A/V Quality if they care the issue so much.

I dunno but I am sensing that HRT wanted to do this on their own or maybe the viewers were onto them...However I think everyone would like it FTA with the quality as it is..rather that than pay for that channel with better quality...HRT only has good TV shows in terms of interviews, or discussion programs. Entertainment = zero..its not even 24 hours program as they put after midnight pictures live from Croatia's cities...(live cams)

is it for australia or the usa as they have the other HRT channels POC is usually the only croation channel free to air the rest they encrypt??

Picture of Croatia will be partially encrypted from 01/03/05 for US market on GlobeCast platform (USA)<br />Here, in Australia, Picture of Croatia will stay FTA after that date.<br />CroTV will encrypt it's programmes in Australia too but not before July 2005 (or later)<br />CroTV will stop FTA in order to improve the quality of it's programmes (not signal, although I reckon they should) as well to be able to show Live sporting events, movies, etc... 24/7.<br />Even after CroTV become encrypted, some shows will stay FTA like DNEVNIK<br /> <br /> <small>[ 26.
