order and received my Dolby Digtal demo disk and a offical Dolby Digtal installed in this home theater Plaque from dolby labs iv be wanting a plaque to show of for the last 7 years and now i got it.<br />i use to get dolby digtal out of the laser disks <br />its encoded on them it the same way that it is as at the movies its in a RF form then you demodulate it and feed it into your amps DD digtal input.<br />no compression <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> like DVD but the picture is not as good on laser as DVD i have yet to here a movie on dvd with as good as sound as my lasers but they are get better buy the day i just wish they did it great at the start <br /><br /> disk has all the intros on it plus some history, and some music check the site out at www.dolby.com

phill just got "monsters INC" on dvd<br />the first disk ie movie that had THX setup demos<br />it had a pink noise test all 7 channels plus a contrast test good on ya THX <br />i guess they just want the product to be veiwed and sound good

Jason,<br /><br />There is a DVD alignment disc bought out by Pioneer I believe. It has video tests as well as audio, that you can level adjus using a sound meter for perfection.

yer dave there are two disks around <br />one is a remake of a laser disk (i have boteh )called Video Essentianls <br />the other is Called Platinum DVD <br /><br />they are both realy good disks for both picture and sound <br /><br />i have not come across the Pioneer disk as yet <br /><br />if you want copy i think that Harvey normans still seLL BOTH OF
