Yes as we all know by now V8 supercars will be heading into China in 2004 and racing on their new Track in Shanghai.
Now people in Australia would find it hard to believe, but the Viewers in Australia/UK/and the US would not tally up to who has been watching it in all the Asian Countries on Free to Air around us, over 200 Million , Look at the Footprints on the ABC ASIA PACIFIC Service which is on PAS 8 166 Deg E and Also on Pas 2 at 169 Deg E
http://www.panamsat.com/_media/global_network/sat_pdf/pas8_c_band.pdf
For those who dont know ABC Asia Pacific is an Australian Channel put on an International Satellite and it beams to over 1/3 of the Earth, Now this is to all countries in this Footprint they show all typical Aussie Shows like "Home and away" "ETC" ,NRL,AFL + heaps of other things that are shown on Australian Television including V8 Supercars
Well over a year ago I posted in this forum when I first spotted the V8 series being run on ABC Pacific on PAS 8, and within a 2 week period I received over 60 emails from people around the Asian Belt enquiring about the V8 supercars, All I could do was to give them the URL of V8 supercars Hummm.
The Same week I emailed Tony Cockrane of Avesco just to let them know what my reaction was on my first Post of the Topic on V8 Supercars in Asia, Plenty of enquires.
Now we all know we dont sell Commodores and Fords in China but I can tell you it wont be long before Commodores will be sold in China and other Asian Countries, Someone in Holden deserves a Medal because When I watch TV Brunei on Asiasat 2 and I see a HSV Commodore driving past thats good for the Australian economy and it wont be long before they will fill the streets with Monaros.
And as for the V8 supercar series going over to Asian countries like China and Brunei thats good I cannot wait to see the crowds they will get especially in Brunei I have been told that the Sultan of Brunei is a Rev Head and Loves Holdens, Arrrrrrrh well they will have to fit it in with our Calander.
Phil

[ 25.
