Hi all this is your new play area! The forum is very easy to use when you get the Hang of it.<br /><br />1/ If you come to this forum and you see only one Picture above Don't forget to Re-load your netscape or IE or whatever browser you use and clear the cache or the new image and Club logo won't appear. <br />2/ To post on the forum you must register first. When you register, it will put you in a registration queue as I have done this because of trouble makers on the other forums and this way I can weed out the trouble makers. You need nothing personal, you can use your real name for public viewing or you can use an alias.<br />3/ You can use a genuine email address or a hotmail, yahoo email address but it must be valid. If not when you register and the forum automatically sends you back your password to your email address, if its not valid, you won't get it and that means you won't be able to post.<br />4/ IMAGES: Images can be hosted elsewhere (your provider) and attached to one of your posts down the bottom on the tag called IMAGE(BOTTOM RIGHT). This way, the image could be stored on one of your sites/provider but linked to this Monaro site because what happens is we get so many images on all the forums that it tends to bogs the forum down in bandwidth. <br /> For those that cannot: I will be able to upload the images directly to my server and add them to the post, so in other words, all you do is email the photo to me and I will do the rest.<br /> Please!! When sending an image to me, send it around the 300 kbs maximum. Or similar if you are hosting it on your own site, nothing worse than a picture that appears too big for your screen, plus you must remember, some members only have dial up and you don't want to spend 10 minutes downloading a picture.<br />5/ As members join I can add a particular member to become a moderator (Jodie has been nominated number 1). The moderators duties are just to look after the general posts, remove or edit any offensive posts etc.<br />6/ If you go on the other forums as there are 33 forums in Aus-city now, you will notice a lot of the members including myself have a pretty little picture next to our names, that is called an AVATOR.<br />You can select the avator from a list or again you can have your own avator like a typical picture of your car etc and it can be hosted again on your site.<br />Phil <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" /><br /> <br /> <small>[ 19. Good on you lazer, we have big upgrades coming to this group of forums coming in about 6 weeks, heaps more functions, Yes UBB Classic are doing BIG CHANGES!! to there servers to improve things

Phil, this is all very impressive, however my interest is cars, not computers. I have no trouble with the "on"button, and a mouse, but beyond that ,,,,Sorry, I am getting lost.<br />Give me the old forum any day. Who cares about the nuts. They only persist because some people take the bait and respond, which in turn spurs them on. The responders were the "problem"

Well you know how to use this forum because your on it right now, you don't have to use the picture option, thats optional but Monaro members have asked for this and now they have it so if you want to post you can but also I'm an expert in catching trouble makers and if someone wants to defame me that person will find himself/herself in court.<br />See this forum is only one forum on a collection of 33 forums on this site and some of the satellite forum have had a lot of problems mainly because of the wars between two pay tv companies and because I administer the forum some members that thought they could not be found did personal attacks at me and my family. Now I know this is not going to happen on the Monaro forum because I expect people to be better than this on this forum.<br />This is the reason why I have a registration Queue.<br />Phil

Restorer, you would not happen to be "Helpful Harry" under a new name would you. This site was changed so we could get rid of the troublemakers and make the forums a useful and informative source. You don't have to use it if you don't want to but personal attacks will no longer be tolerated by the Monaro Club.

You will like others have. Get yourself a geocities account so you can host you picture on that site and attach/link them to you post or your avator on this site.
