Hi All<br />Back from the Summernats in Canberra. <br />Big showing of cars - just shy of 1500 I think.<br />How they manage to run an event of this size and keep things running on time is fantastic. Chic must have a very dedicated crew and workforce - as all volunteers.<br />We took the van down and Robert (from Dalby the claytons member) took his HK. The van was selected in the top 60 street cars and won Top Van and Shannons Insurance Sponsers Choice for the Summerants and Robbie was selected in the Top 60 Elite cars and won Top Authentic. So we were both very happy.<br />We also both made it into the Supercruise which is held on Sat evening and is by invite only and features Top award winning cars, sponsors and car clubs etc etc.<br />Despite all the warnings of racial tension we saw none. But did see a few drunken lads and some very sick ones as well.<br />We had no issues with anyone touching the cars or doing any damage. <br />All in all an excellant event even with the accident - it was an unforunate accident and I hope this does not see the end of the Summerants. <br />We will be going again. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" />
