How come, every time there is thresd critical of UBI it gets shut down?

First off, a couple of months ago there was that silly denial that UBI was the son of TARBS and Mr. Boulos was still in control - only to find Mr. B, a few weeks later, on air on UBI introducing himself as the chairman - shock horror!

Now UBI are discovered to have a hidden clause in their cantracts that allow them to charge for the STB at some future time. And when this is revealed what happens, the thread gets shut down ...........

Seem a little fishy to me

I know what you mean TV_Nerd. I'm sick of it. Whirlpool is full of immature teenagers and idiots of the like, but the Mods there are fair and tough, and the ISP representatives don't close a thread when they're caught out. Not to mention they represent their company much more professionally.

But, what are you going to do. It is the free public domain Internet after all.

RATLSNAKE.

TV_Nerd,

First off it's not a "hidden clase" it's clearly there and easy to read for the customer.

The thread was locked as I didn't want it to get further out of hand - this is meant to be a happy unofficial forum but some people take things too far.

I hope by take things too far you are not referring to me?

In my last post of that thread, I clearly stated I was going to leave it there, because I could see I was getting no where in my query.

RATLSNAKE

Buy out of hand, you mean, too many people having somthing negative to say.....

If you are going to have a forum, you need to take the good with the bad.

Ooops, do I sense a finger hovering obove the moderator delete button????

Ratlsnake

I think it's time for everyone who reads this forum to warn those who have current UBI subscriptions and who dont have a clue of what is about to happen when they get the new box delivered/intalled, specially if they dont understand or write english well,... what a shame!!!! Luckly I jumped out of the wagon long ago.....

The question must be WHY do UBI want the old box back? is this an effort to try and restrict piracy of the PBS service?

For most purposes the MDS boxes are now USELESS as no service other than PBS is using them.

Ok so you MAY be able to config them to watch fta with but not the most user friendly box.

That clause is such that the installer could say, "I like this lamp. I'm taking it otherwise UBI might charge you a fee in the future."

I'm just a meer member of this forum, not a moderator or admin. If you don't like somthing about SELECTV start a topic and go your hardest. I can't delete posts or close topics so there can be no censorship from my side.
