Dont know about Mr SelecTV havent seen him on the forum for a little while now

If this takeover goes ahead i see alot of changes that will happen to SelecTV one major one would be subscribers will most likely have to signup for a minimum amount of months like most Pay TV co's eg sign a 1 year contract etc as now SelecTV have no contracts which i think APV see this as a weak point as there is no security for subscribers to leave any time without penalty yes this might not be good for subscribers but hey... thats buisness

Just my logical thinking about this :)

a Quote from the APV report to ASX [] • Customer contracts – APV plans to review Selectv's customer contracting strategy [/]

Just common sense you can't build a business based on not knowing how many customers you will have each month.

Although you can predict the churn levels. I can't see anything wrong with having a 6 month minimum contract. We are only talking $30 a month here

Yes, I still cruise by ocassionally ... but its been a little quiet over here.

All I can say about the APV takeover bid is ..... we live in interesting times! Should be worth watching over the next few weeks.

As for customer contracts, we have not intention of introducing muliplte month contracts for our standard packages. This doesn't mean we won't offer some special deals in the furture, but our philosophy is to always keep our standard product set contract free. We want to be differnt to the other guys!

Also keep an eye out for some new channels in basic and some neww add-on packages in the pipeline.

It would seem that the APV shareprice has been heading south a little too far, 11.5cents per share at close today, but then again, I'm not into finance, or investing in general.

It'd be good to get a hint as to when we can expect to get the new channels ; )
