All right now, this snake business is just too bizarre...
I thought I was feeling snakes around and seeing them in my dreams because we've been discussing them here.
Oh boy, was I wrong... blink
Today my Dh (husband) discovered we have a king snake living under our house. crazy
Dh called the official snake guy and learned how to get the snake to leave without having to hurt it or having to get near it. yes
Dh has gone to buy the necessary things right now.
I'll keep you updated.
Dawn
Synchronicity, coincidence? Bizarre for sure!

Hi Dawn,

I hope the snake leaves your property with the least inconvenience to your family(and the snake).

Keep us posted about your snake business!

Thank you Chris, positive thoughts are always welcome!

We don't know if the snake left. If it did, it left by means of some exit that we missed in inspecting the foundation.
We've decided we're lucky it's nonpoisonous and nonaggressive.
I wondered when my Dh will finally get curious enough to go back under the house and see if the snake's still there?

So ends the saga. lol

Hi dawn,
As I don't believe in co-incidences, I would think what you are undergoing is experiencing this phenomena at multidimensional levels. Dreaming of them, sensing them around, seeing depictions of them in natural objects and now you have it at physical level, with a real snake. I would ask yourself, what does the snake represent/mean to me? and see if an answer comes to you.
Maybe you would want to look up about snake/serpent mythology.
The snake is one of the symbols of Thoth, it is also a powerful animal totem:

Snake Totem - Snakes have the amazing ability to shed their skins, they cast off the old skin and create a new one. Snakes use their flickering tongues to sense and smell. They can detect anything that is around them, they can also feel the vibrations upon the earth in which they inhabit. The snake comes when we are moving towards changes, and that we need to cast off our old self. The snake awakens the spiritual side within us, so that we can explore the mysteries of our soul and mind. The snake’s stare which never blinks can look into our souls. The snake teaches us how to tap into undiscovered power within ourselves and find and learn to use our creative wisdom.

Alisa also knows quite a bit about this subject, I am sure she will give you the benefit of her knowledge.

GREAT post, Chris! I really liked your analogies about snakes. yeah

My 2 cents, Dawn, is that this is a HUGE synchronicity in which we have each had a part! I find it noteworthy in synchronicity that the snake you found was non-agressive and not poisonous. cool

More amazing to me personally is that you dreamed of snakes and seemed to sense them around. I have experienced this myself. yeah And though some people are afraid of snakes or consider them "bad", I was quite neutral about them to begin with, not wanting to run into a poisonous or aggressive snake, but still finding them a beautiful part of nature. However, when I began pursuing spirituality and snake symbolism entered my photos, etc., I welcomed them and began appreciating them.

I am not able to highlight them most of the time in my photos, like many vague spirit images I see, but there are plenty of them there. They are sometimes smiling (silly as that may sound), but I believe they are expressing good will. I personally see snakes as a positive spirtual symbol. grin

Thanks so much, I enjoy learning different thoughts, beliefs and mythology of a subject. It never ceases to amaze me.

I'm not afraid of identifiable non poisonous snakes. I was raised to have respect for the nonpoisonous snakes because they
serve as natures exterminators. However that doesn't mean that I am above exterminating the sucker if it's made a buffet out of farm critters. You understand?

Spiritually speaking, I've always felt snakes represent a sneaky danger or betrayal in my life that I'm just not seeing.
To me, snakes also represent snakes as a real snake.
I think sometimes, without our full knowledge and understanding of all that is around us, the human eyes see or the ears hear and identify critters and other things and informs the brain and gives us a sense of what it is, but not the actual gist of it.
Did that make sense?

Thanks again,
Dawn

We don't know if the snake left. Dh says he'll go check on it sometime. but for now, we're not going to worry about it. If it wants to stay it can.

Yep, when I was a child snakes loved feeding on eggs, baby chicks, piglets and rabbits when they could get in the cages.
Those particular snakes we're exterminated promptly and without a bit of guilt.
But the other snakes that slithered in the yard from time to time were welcome because they helped keep rodents under control. I should say that poisonous snakes that got too close to our home or barn was immediately exterminated.

Hopefully, this ends my snake saga. lol
I didn't see a snake in my dreams last night, so this is good...

Wishing you a lovely day!
