I don't know how much the shot is magnified Alisa, but are mosquitos so big in Australia ? There is always the possibility of a moth or other flying insect, but I am seeing something behind it. I would say a big possibility for it being a nature spirit

I really enjoyed your comments, Chris.  I considered putting the full photo up (but it was awkward with the size and with my son being alfresco on the trampoline)  . It would be a pretty large mosquito, though not outside the possibility. I prefer to think it is a nature spirit. With so many others erring on the side of caution in interpretations, I'll err on the side of belief.
