Below is a copy of what you will receive with your current UBI invoice.
In order to continue to provide you choice and convenience in your payment method, UBI has undergone a review of its structures and costs related to each payment method we offer.
As part of this review, UBI WORLD TV is introducing a monthly Account Processing Fee in order to cover administrative costs in preparing and processing all monthly subscription payments which are not via Credit Card or Direct Debit payment methods.
This Account Processing Fee of $3.95 will be an Additional Fee to the monthly subscription fee.
If you are presently paying your monthly subscription outside of a Credit Card or a Direct Debit facility, this new Account Processing Fee will affect you.
The Account Processing Fee will apply from your next monthly subscription payment, and will be reflected on your next monthly invoice.
How can you avoid paying this fee? By changing your payment method to either Credit Card or Direct Debit from your nominated bank account, you will not be charged this fee.
To pay by credit card, simply call our Customer Care Centre on 1300 400 800 and provide the relevant details for any VISA or MasterCard (Amex and Diners are not accepted), or complete the enclosed Credit Card Authorisation Form and return to UBI in the reply paid envelope provided. Our Customer Care Centre is open 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm Saturday (AEST)
To pay by direct debit, please complete the enclosed Direct Debit Authority Form and return to UBI in the reply paid envelope provided.
Once we have updated your UBI account with your Credit Card or Direct Debit details, all future fees will be automatically debited on their due date. Please note that any existing outstanding charges on your UBI account will be automatically debited on the day your Credit Card or Direct Debit details are added to your account.
Paying by Credit Card or Direct Debit is convenient, secure - backed by your financial provider, and will now save you money. Why wait, change your payment method today.

My mother and her two neighbours received ubi bills including account processing fees even though they completed direct deposit form last month.
ubi claims they did not receive them and suggests they be faxed instead of posted.
is that a trick to get $4 more from everyone or what?
anybody else in the same boat?

Sharp,
Yep, we are doing it to get more money.
It seems they have either sent it to the wrong address or it has been lost. All they need to do is send the DD form by post or fax. Once the DD form is processed the system will automatically waive the Account Processing Fee.

Yes you're right on that one Liski. You must be desperate for it. Things are getting funnier. As instructed we paid the bill at the post office and filled out another direct debit form and faxed it. Then guess what happened? I realised UBI direct debitted another $60 on the due date as well. We paid $124 in total in April. Now, they claim they didn't direct debitted anything even though I can see it in my online banking with reference number and everything.

ShaRp,
Further to that the only thing that will happen is that you'll be in credit of $59.95 which means the system will not debit your bank account for your next bill.
