To me it appears there is a female on the left and a man in a hat on the right. I tinted the flesh area of the female on the final photo. I can see the man as if he is facing forward and in profile.

As always, there could be even more here. If you see something else, let me know. wink

She's lovely. I like this picture. It almost has a Victorian feel too it.
I see 2 men. They look quite cartoonish, but I do see them.

Very nice captures. thumbsup

Hope you have a lovely day!

Thanks so much for your input, Dawn. cheerful I felt the image was from an earlier time, too! It's as if the woman is wearing a cap similar to those close-fitting caps of the 1920 (this time frame just "came to me").

I'm glad you mention that the spirits look cartoony, because it reminds me of a point I wanted to make about spirit photos. A majority of the spirit images I see look cartoony, including the fairies. Some people have commented that this detracts from believability. But I feel that this is one of the simple forms a spirit can take to depict themselves. I believe they can take virtually any form, but perhaps they are limited by the media available, like the light and shadow of the moment, the realm they are appearing in, or maybe even by their own abilities. Or maybe it is my interpretation as the viewer/photographer.
shrug

Along the lines of cartoony spirits, I once woke with a startle after dreaming of an on-line friend of mine I had never actually seen in person or in a photo. But I saw him in my mind's eye with a long beard and wearing a hat, and with black-button like eyes. It was rather cartoony, but it was burned into my mind and remained there for recall in full detail for weeks. I mentioned it to him in an email and he verified that he did have a beard and was wearing a hat. I decided to quickly sketch the image as I saw it (which remained seared in my mind) and send it to him. He loved the image and felt it captured some of his traits. I had no doubt whatsoever that this was the way his true spirit appeared to me, even though later when I saw a photo of him, he did not appear this cartoony. laughing Not entirely. paranoid

And orbs (which I feel are the most basic form a spirit takes) sometimes slap a happy face on their dial for me, well they did in the beginning, I think to exude good will...but it was as if they formed their parts to make the representation of a face, hence, cartoony...

I have fewer and fewer boundaries for seeing spirit in photos, or for defining paranormal experiences as time goes on. It seems as if ordinary physical rules and expectations do not always apply. I look back with a little regret on some of the earlier things I discounted, and even some photos I deleted when I first started seeking spirits because I thought it was too ridiculous to be true. cry

Alisa,

Aw cool... I love the story of your friend with a hat. It's cute and fascinating.

I've always liked your smiley face orb. lol

I think that maybe mystical beings manifest themselves into their interpretation of an image of a human or animal. I'm guessing that they see with different eyes than we do and they just stick to the basics mostly. (I could be wrong. )

Thanks for the fascinating reply.
Intersting and fun!

hug Thanks, Dawn!

I really like your explanation! Another icing on the cake comment. You are making this much more fun and rewarding you know. grin

Synchronistically, I have been "into" nature spirits this week and thinking about how the many "spirit" faces and figures photographed might be these guys emulating humans and animals.

I was just looking through some photos I took last week when I went for a walk in the bush/woods. They are chockful of littlies, faces, figures, etc. (that I will be posting soon). And I got the distinct impression that much of it was the spirit of the woods reflecting what it has seen and knows.

Someone wrote me recently and suggested a book on fairies by Geoffrey Hodson. Looking into Hodson was amazing and informative. He was able to interact with the Angel (Deva) Kingdom and wrote many books, including one with illustrations. This
Earth Spirits website has some of the illustrations.

Aw shucks! You make me blush...
Thanks so much, you made me smile!
I do love your cake references. mmm yummy...

Well, to tell you the truth, I hadn't considered the elements either until this past week. It was just so odd. I was surfing for 'wee folks' and ended up in fairyland again. lol And for some reason the Sylphs caught my attention and I spent a good portion of the weekend looking through all my cloud pictures or pictures with the sky in them and that's when I decided to go through my old printed photographs and I found that undine picture and well, I got side tracked again... I believe the fairy fanciers call that being pixie-led or pixelated. lol

I'm going to check on that book. It may be something I'd be interested in. Thanks for telling us about it.

I'm going to post my goofy looking undine photo outlines now. See you in the other thread. lol

Thanks, Dawn. yeah Cake is my favourite analogy and food. naughty

I still feel it is a significant sychronicity that we have both been exploring nature spirits this week. elf And the fact that you spent "a good portion of the weekend looking through your cloud pictures", makes me feel in kindred company. cheerful It truly pulls you into another world. The more I look at a spirit-filled photo, especially when I am in the zone, the more the background becomes the foreground and all of the dimensions and outlines just become lines and shapes. New boundaries start to appear and I am seeing into another world, and quite often, multiple worlds layered. Chris has also described "falling" into her photos as if being transported. I believe "seeing" is a skill that if nurtured can grow into something even more amazing.

Thanks for all the fun and contribution, Dawn sunshine!

Oh, and the Hodson book recommended to me was Fairies at Work and Play (you can read several pages of it at this Amazon link). Hodson goes straight into describing their appearance and dress. I love how he is so factual, articulate and unapologetic. clink
