In my local woods, I believe there is thousands of spirits, all good in heart, I mean really good. Each time I go in there, I feel a huge ammount of presence, and overwealmed with a sence of calm and sanctuary. Many i think are nymths, the spirits of plants, or more of, the spirits that take care of plants. I've seen the protector of the woods to. A shadowy figure, atleast seven foot tall, maybe taller, with a hugely strong pose, thick limbs, weilding a broadsword in one hand, point to the ground, with the ease as if it where a leaf. he was watching me and my friend jack, my the darker, more tree-filled part of the woods. I could feel he meant no harm to us though. The woods there always fills me with great energy and belonging, as if I am reborn every time I enter that place of tree's and spirits. Just thought I'd share it with you guys and girls.

Wow, I really enjoyed that and I'm so pleased you shared! Similarly to Chris, you are able to "see" these beings. You have spoke of these woods before and the experiences you have had there. It is quite fascinating. When I go into the bush area, I too feel a strong presence. For me it is like a buzz or hum in my head. It is almost like a sound, but it is not in my ears precisely. And I feel watched, but not stalked. Still, I would not feel comfortable walking through the woods night. (I should probably try to overcome that). I have come to theorize that the spirit of the plants in these wilderness areas are wilder than the plants in our yards, left to grow of their own free will and where the strongest survive and take over. So the feeling for me is different between a huge manicured garden and the woods, even though they are perhaps equally full of plants.
