Liski,
How long do we have before terminating the service?...For example, If the end date of the billing period is on 31st...what's the last day to inform the UBI for termination...Thanks in advance...

fsking,
As per the T&C it is 30 days notice but if your due dat is eg. 31 you should give yourself approx 2 weeks to be able to request a termination letter to be sent out and return it before your due date. Once the termination is returned and processed we will switch the signal off on your due date we will send out a reply paid envelope to return the STB if it's leased.

Liski...
Are we getting $9.95 refund for the Lig-TV in our next bill?...
If so, we should be charged $50.00 in the next bill...is that right?....

This is ridiculous and pathetic. The only reason I have UBI is for LigTV. Another week of " No Soccer " And I'm getting rid of this.

fsking,
Your account would've automatically be credited $9.95, if you have already received a bill that has Lig TV on it you can subtract the Lig TV fee and just pay the remaining.
If you want PM me your Cust ID and I can check it for you.

KaaN10,

after I accept the credit card debit payment, I lost track of these payments...and if I remember correctly, I never received any bill since...
Would you be able to trace it by using my name, surname and Tel number as I used them last time whe inquiring Lig-TV...
Thanks...

Yes.....
The new rumour....
Crazy John is on the process of bringing all the channels together...
Soon, He will be announcing the new plans... I've heard that as well, apparently he was on Turkish radio not long ago saying that he was currently in negotiations with DigiTurk in an effort to bring LigTV, along with other Turkish channels to Australia. Also, in an email reply a friend of mine got from DigiTurk they say they're in negotiations with someone (doesn't say who) in an effort to bring LigTV and other channels to Australia. Lets hope its all true and Crazy John does bring Turkish channels to Australia

I heard that Digiturk is not asking huge amount of extra money at all for ligtv.. I dont understand why Ubi is not doing anything to solve this problem, obviously they can afford to loose their Turkish customers!!!!

This rumour has been around since TARBS shut so..... correct. it's just a rumour. Nothing more. Although Crazy Jones' owner (the richest under 40 in Australia)is a turk, he's never been really involved with Turkish community or Turkish related activities (he is only member of a small, unfunctional chamber of turkish commerce). I don't even believe he watches turkish tv at his mansion. So I wouldn't hold my breath.

This whole issue with UBI,Digiturk....mike boulos is abviously trying to rip off more Turkish people for Lig TV, and one thing he should realise is that we are one of he's biggest customers, and that he should do what ever he can, not to loose us. i am sure he has seen the email sent to myself and others from Digiturk, stating that the higher price increase was NOT asked by Digiturk. Now, he should have the guts to appear on UBI television, and either deny what Digiturk has said, or accept the fact that he was in the wrong.

The.One,
Have you even read through the thread?
Let me explain it for the 100th time - The price from DigiTurk to UBI hasn't increased. UBI was paying approx $120,000 a month for the past 3 years and basically subsidising the cost to bring Lig TV to Australia. UBI tried to negotiate a new price but the talks broke down - it was basically either continue subsidising Lig TV or charge the subscriber more or remove Lig TV completely.
If you read through DigiTurk’s reply it does state they base the Lig TV licence fees on the number of subscribers a company has, maybe they think all of UBI’s Turkish subscribers are Lig TV’s watches which is not correct.
The UBI Chairman has already appeared on TV explaining our stance.

i watched that and Mr Boulos clearly said that DIGITURK is asking for more money, which is NOT the case.He should have said that ubi is paying $120.000 a month and cant afford to do so anymore...Ubi obviously asked less money for licence fee and digiturk said no to that...

Well according to the DigiTurk Press Release and emails even they say they have raised the price approx 2 times so I'm not sure if the $120,000 is the new or old pricing but regardless if you believe UBI is the bad evil one then go right ahead and think that as nothing I write will make you or anyone change your thoughts.
Translation as per fskings post on here [qoute]As to us (Digiturk) asking for more money, rising member fees are entirely not true. Member fees, rise of fees and making of packages are entirely in the hands of UBI Pty. Ltd. The yearly income are risen on the amount of members that have been added on.[/quote]

I would like to say that I will no longer be replying to this thread until there is something new regarding this issue. This is due to the fact that I'm going round in circles and constantly repeating myself as people choose to read what they want to read not what is presented on this forum.
I will make a new post if there is any new Turkish channels starting up on UBI.
I'd like to thank the small amount of people on here with logic and who actually read through my posts and understood what I wrote.

Liski has laid it out.
UBI stupidly paid far to much for this channel 3 years at 120000 per month.
Obviously they should of cut it off far earlier or spent the money on discounting existing sub prices.
