Hi, my favorite place for photographing entities is a place called Waylands Smithy in England. Here I see the most truly wonderous things and I'd like to share my pictures with all here. Waylands Smithy is meant to be a pre-historic long barrow, but I think its a gateway. Its is a special spot surrounded by beech trees, and comprises of some big sarsen stones, think stonehenge, but this is better. My base photo's are here, www.starchie.net but here's some enhancements.

Thanks for sharing this photo and enhancing it! I looked at the original and I definitely see the image/entity you've highlighted. magnify Good highlighting technique by the way. So my question is, what is it? How do you classify it, and what do you make of it? scratchchin

Hi Alisa,
I don't know what to make of this, I've seen imps and sprites at this place, but this is different. I'm not sure if its winged or not, as for my interpretation and highlighting technique I tend to go with my first lasso, if I go back to it after that, they never seem as defined, and there is a suggestion of wings in my first go, but its not clear.
I was thinking it could be a Puck, but having looked it up, it doesn't really fit with the descriptions and doesn't resonate with me. Do you have any ideas? Does anything pop up as a name? If not I would be very pleased and if you can think of a name for it. Feel free to interp, also did you see the others?

Hmmm, A Puck, are you not he?
[Linked Image]

From The play A Midsummers Nights Dream
Fairy:
Either I mistake your shape and making pie quite,
Or else you are that shrewd and devilish sprite
Call'd Robin Goodfellow: are not you he
That frights the maidens of the villagery;
Skim milk, and sometimes labour in the quern
And bootless make the breathless housewife churn;
And sometime make the drink to bear no barm;
Mislead night-wanderers, laughing at their harm?
Those that Hobgoblin call you and sweet Puck,
You do their work, and they shall have good luck:
Are not you he?

Puck:
Thou speak'st aright;
I am that merry wanderer of the night.
I jest to Oberon and make him smile
When I a fat and bean-fed horse beguile,
Neighing in likeness of a filly foal:
And sometime lurk I in a gossip's bowl,
In very likeness of a roasted crab,
And when she drinks, against her lips I bob
And on her wither'd dewlap pour the ale.
The wisest aunt, telling the saddest tale,
Sometime for three-foot stool mistaketh me;
Then slip I from her bum, down topples she,
And 'tailor' cries, and falls into a cough;
And then the whole quire hold their hips and laugh,
And waxen in their mirth and neeze and swear
A merrier hour was never wasted there.

HmmmI played Puck once in a school play!

At the end of the play Puck makes a speech explaining his actions which serves to trivialize the play itself if it has offended the audience.

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
if you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends. (Act v. Scene i.)

Puck apologizes to the audience for anything that might have offended them and suggests that they pretend it was a dream.

Firstly, it is interesting and validating to me that you go with your first lasso (highlighting) of your images. I am finding that letting intuition do the guiding (and then using analysis later when your intuition has defined the entity) is a very successful combination. thumbup I'm learning to let it be this way for me, too. First impressions. coolpeace

This entity is a mixture of things to me. I see the legs as if it is climbing the stairs. I see what I feel is a mask or conical hat it is holding out from its face. And I interpret that it has wings, too. Frankly it reminds me a lot of the Cottingley gnome photograph. That is the thought that came to me, and as we were just saying about first impressions... grin

Next, thanks for the Shakespeare. It is fun, but makes me have to concentrate and interpret from the many possible layered meanings in the lines! Good brain workout. weightlifter

And that you played Puck... coolpeace utterly synchronistic. omgosh After all, Puck is also Robin Goodfellow, who is also Pan, who is also Green Man! And Green Man is my Main Man these days! He seems to be everywhere and in everything that crosses my path.

And when we speak of puppets and a puppeteer, or the one for which we are all linked to, being creatures of the earth, perhaps it all leads back to Puck, Green Man, Thoth, etc., who is lord of all the earthly elementals, fairies, gnomes, mannikins, tree spirits, devas, etc. king

Meanwhile, I do see other faces to the left of your purple highlight. It to me is two aspects of some entity which might also incorporate the "gnome". It might be the gnome's facial profile as I have numerous spirit photos that do this...show the body then a close up of the face (straight-on, profile, 3/4) above or near it to show me the detail I can't otherwise see. Cool spirits. content

I've highlighted with dark and light to bring out the image of the profile facing to the right (top crop) and then another face at a 3/4 angle as circled (bottom crop).

Starchie! Glad to see more from you! cheer

I am just amazed at these latest interpretations! I LOVE the dragon and his keeper. That is an all-time favourite for me! winner

And I see the other puck! Good eye you have. thumbup It is helpful for me to compare the two little pucks now. Every time I look at this photo anew, I see more and different things. It is really full! [Linked Image]

And so sorry about the Auto Anti-Spam. sadeyes Apparently it is really stringent (I have encountered resistance from it myself)! mad

Oh, and the red-tinted dragon...is it just his head and neck with his mouth open?

I apologize for the difficulties posting. [Linked Image] I assure you I will try to find a way around it (I'll get back with you). And thanks so much for continuing to share your photos though you are having to jump through many hoops to do so. thumbsup

Thank you for the dragon keeper dedication. cheerful I have seen similar beings to the keeper in other photos, so it made it that more striking to me. Plus the dragon was just excellent.

Wow, this batch of photos is amazing and just crawling with spirit. Wall to wall, IMV (in my vision). I particularly love the thin man sleeping against the tree. He is very clear and has a great face. thumbup

The next photo, with the being sitting on the rock! faint It's so real. To me it looks like an iguana, but yet it certainly is not. omgosh

And the next one down is equally as amazing. What is this entity? It is making me think of a satyr, and yet...?

And in the final photo, I do love the Shakespeare you inscribed. It is so fitting. That looks to be a beautiful, huge and ancient tree. What is it sitting beneath it?

So these photos were all taken at Wayland's Smithy, which I have learned is the site of Neolithic burial chambers in Britain. The chamber was dated as far back as 3700 BC, from what I read. It is named in association with the Norse god Wayland (blacksmithing) Smith.

About a million personal synchronicities went off like dominos as I researched this.

multliple dragons and wizards? a bit over the top?
I do perceive a lot of humans across the veil, and a lot of them do seem to be wearing pointy hats, a lot of them are also in the company of dragons, so does that make them wizards? Maybe wizards is our earthly human literal name for them, perhaps they call themselves something else in the Mystical Plane of reality..
Anyhow for the above image I've used a speculative interpretation technique, I done a quick and rough lasso grab of the areas I'm interested and then randomly filtered those regions. The process is to try to remove as much of my own personal interpretation go into it and let my hand be guided by itself? I have also been working on some more refined enhancements which work out nicely for my wizard.

and it seems to work better when viewed smaller. Its one of those images where you will either see it in absolute clarity or you will just see grey blobs!
The original is to the left here,
[Linked Image]
They big dragons eyes are more pronounced here for the filtered side, but its not a very clear image. Hopefully you can see what I mean by a pointy hat!! I will post the original for the multi-dragon image and Alisa, I would love it for you to have a look, I see lots of smaller dragons layered in here and my interp doesn't do it justice.

A different study on the big dragon. Its covered in sharp scales and has crocodile like scales on the top of its head, the eyes are very reptillian and, and the eyebrow ridges are noticable.

Bearded Serpents and Dragons I percieve a lot. In folklore they are a symbol of of a portal gaurdians between the physical and spiritual planes.

Highly enjoyable posts, Starchie! A real treat. cake

The first dragon master remains a strong favourite for me. It is quite intriguing to see the comparison between him and Wayland.

Your black and white technique on the wizard was really insightful. And the outline of the dragon pointing out the eyes and the scales so precisely, really helped me hone in on the detail.

In the final post, I see the human and dragon, as well as multiples of them layered in the same spot and different poses.

Great photos all. I like looking at them again several times because there is much to see in them, and sometimes the image you've highlighted becomes even clearer to me after it "sinks in".

Thanks for sharing these! highfive
