I couldnt plot this topic after the soccer game ( Iraq vs Qatar ) world cup qualifier. I had a propblem with my password to login on aus-city. Anyways my question is why did UBI stop Al-iraqiya to broadcast the soccer game between iraq and qatar, now dont tell me it doesnt have the right to broadcast that game because if that is the case why did you let the previous game between iraq and china showing on al-iraqiya..if that continues like that im going to stop my contract infact we pay money to watch a certain channels and I think we have the right watch anything on that channel you have no right to stop it just for a soccer game !!

Al-Iraqiya didn't have the broadcasting rights to air the match into Australia or anywhere else for that matter.

Most broadcasting rights are bought per a match and in this particular instance Al-Iraqiya didn't have any rights to air this game.

If you're unhappy please forward your complaint direct to Al Iraqiya.

No, not to al-iraqia but for those who stoped the broadcast because apparently Al-Iraqiya had the rights from the Fifa broadcast media to air that game. I need to pass this message to UBI because I really dont understand why they did that its a national team match and Al-Iraqia is a national Tv channel which it did previously broadcast Iraqi national games and no one did stop it why this time???? so do you prefer people disconnect from UBI and get foxtel instead to watch fox sports or something? because I'll tell you what we need to watch at least our national team soccer matches and thats the only channel that normaly do, Dubai sports not always air those special games so for that if it continues to stop the broadcast im disconnecting 100%!

UBI being an Australian company needs to follow the Australian law.

If UBI are advised to block a certain program or sporting match due to broadcasting rights then UBI must abide by the ruling.

Just cause Al-Iraqiya is a national TV channel doesn't mean they have broadcasting rights for every soccer match the Iraqi national teams plays.

Did FIFA provide Al-Iraqiya broadcasting rights to air the match in Australia? I highly doubt it.

They did have the rights thats why they have al-iraqiya sport channel and al-iraqiya main tv is sponserd to the sport channel from fifa to broadcast any national team match, if you contact Al-Iraqyia and ask them they will prove that for you. Can you please give me a number to contact regarding this matter if you say UBI got nothing to do with it?

Hi guys i was away and i say what happened when they've blocked the game IRAQ VS QATAR. UBI is a punch of shit company and they don't have the right to do anything with any channel being broadcast in australia and they don't support any channel not like foxtel they have special sport channels to broadcast games. however i recommend to the ubi to inform their customers and the new customers to tell them that ubi don't even provide sports channel or even any things to their customer. As i've heard i'll contact Aliraqia and tell them and if they had the right i'll will see what the law in australia will tell me to do and if that happened again i'll cancel for sure.
