In the past few days, the screen blacks out with a message saying something like "E16 service currently scrambled" and this is true on all channels. It happened at least twice for the time between 6:00pm and 10:00pm and it stays like that for few minutes before all channels start to work again.
I tried to switch off box or reset but it didn't matter.
Any ideas why is this happening? or how can I fix it so it won't happen again?
Please help...

bjh24,
E16 happens if your account has been disabled or you've on the Public mode for more then 15 mins and loosing the UBI authorisation.
You can also try and remove the Smart Card and blow inside the slot as sometimes there is dust between the Smart Card and STB card.
If you want PM your Smart Card and I'll check it out.

Thanks Liski for your response.
I wasn't on public when this happened. I was watching channel 50 'Mehwar' and then all of a sudden the screen blacks out and this message appears.
I think this always happen around 7pm and 10pm and stay for few minutes and it happens while watching a UBI channel.
Anyway I just did as you told me with the smart card and see the results tonight. If still an issue I'll PM you and let you know. Thanks.

xxBOSSxx,
This has been discussed before.
The only way to get it fixed is when the other provider fixes their side or keep resetting the UBI STB.

I have knowlodge in satellite service and I know how things works interms of STB and satellite signal..there is no way the satellite provider can interfere with the another companies STB 'UBI'. There had to be a problem with the box it self Optus D2 send fine signal to any other FTA boxes with no problems..infact sometimes you can insert the UBI card into another reciever with Ir-d embeded and it works great with the FTA channels..those boxes must get changed its really annoying special when we have to switch everytime when we need to a certain channel.

It's the fault of both sides Globecast are sending some signal that the UEC box doesn't like or understand and it makes it lose picture/sound etc
So either can fix the problem UEC or Globecast...?
