This whole concept about the abilities of children is new to me (I'm still feeling my way with it) but it's extremely interesting. A good link is... www.crystalchild.netApparently Crystal Children began to appear in 2000 but some have been born prior to this. I don't know a much about these children/adults, but I'm extremely interested in it because it pertains to one of my daughters. My daughter was born in December 1999 and a couple of years ago an Aunt of mine commented that one of her friends believed my daughter to be a Crystal Child. I had no idea what that was. I am still not totally informed about it, but that's only because my interest lies elsewhere at the moment. Anyway, apparently these gifted children can evolve. Some are born Indigo and evolve to Crystal and so forth. I am not sure where my daughter stands, but I have seen her go from having one set of character traits to having another set and doing some very interesting things. Just recently, while playing a game of Memory, she sat there on the floor running her hands above each card to pick which card to turn over. This was most unusual for an 8 1/2 year old child. Usually they just pick a card (if not 10!). But no, she sat there for quite a while letting her hand hover over each card until she found one that she thought would work... I don't recall if she got the right card, I was too fascinated in witnessing this skill in her.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing.
I also would have been utterly amazed had I witnessed my child move their hands over the cards like that. I think my son is a crystal child (for one of many view points on these emerging new, sensitive evolved souls). He is autistic. He also does some things that give me pause to think. I always speak to him in my mind when I go in to check him after he has fallen asleep. I tell him to stay asleep as I move about his room tidying, and he ALWAYS does if I speak to him this way.
One of my favourite episodes of knowing was when his Dad and his friend went out on an errand one afternoon. After they went out the door, my son walked through the kitchen saying loudly, "Watch out for the storm, Dad. There's a storm coming!" This is something I had never heard him say before and his language was so limited at that time that it was an attention getter for me. Fifteen minutes later a huge storm hit so hard and fast it flooded the roof and water actually started coming inside. My son then announced "Trees are falling". I looked outside but I saw no trees falling. However, later when the men returned they told me of all the trees that were falling on the road as they tried to make their way home.

Children are so innocent, so their ability to see things is pure and uncorrupted.
My daughter doesn't have ADD/ADHD or Autism, but she does have physical disabilities and learning issues which are directly connected to her GHD (Growth Hormone Deficiency).
Tiny hands and muscles that aren't growing properly have lead to a lot of physical issues for her which are issues in school rather than out. To look at her she's much the same as everyone else, just a smaller version.
But yes, to watch a child sit there "feeling" the cards is extremely unusual for an average child to do. I've not seen it in any of my other children.
My first thought was "Who told her to do that?" But I highly doubt anybody would have told her anything and it was something she did herself.
