Will the poles shift as the Mayan End date arrives?

Scientists did some studies to see what some of the effects of reversing the earths magnetic fields would be. They chose homing pigeons because they believed that they use the earth’s magnetic fields for navigation. They placed a small magnet on the pigeons head to cancel out the earths magnetic field and guess what…?
They had no scene of direction at all.

If the magnetic poles reverse in our lifetime humanity will be devastated along with many other species.

That is so fascinating about the pigeons. It makes me wonder if magnetic fields are what affect me...

Because, when I moved to Oz, I would navigate by thinking of my house back in the Northern Hemisphere and I'd superimpose it over my Oz house in my mind. And when I'd do that North would = South, and East would = West. In other words, if I thought I was heading North based on my mental imagery of how my old setting used to be, I'd really be heading South.

And 13 years later it is still the same. Each day when I look toward the setting sun, I think to myself, that is where the sun should rise and the mountains should be.

Hmmm Kimosubi Flux thinkem maybe we take feather off from head and replace with magnet for better directions…

It sounds tempting, but I've spent lots of time writing a subroutine in my brain to route around this problem. So, I'll pass on the magnet, thanks.

I know what you mean about sense of direction when moving from the northern hemisphere to the south or vice versa. For me every time I travel it’s a total a brain reversal. Add to that driving on the other side of the road while sitting in the opposite side of the car and the mind boggles. Total head spin even..!!
It takes a while for the brain to make the adjustment.
Some time ago I checked out and played with some reiki magnets which I must admit I found helpful with this kinda stuff.
Perhaps reiki magnets may really show their true colours in 2012..

Reiki magnets, eh? I have not experienced these. But I did once hold a reiki-blessed teddybear at the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival a few years ago...and I could definitely feel the energy from it.



Anyway, do you think there will be an "end" of cycle and hence a cataclysm in 2012?

And to clarify, I meant to say pole reversal rather than shift.

I think its a bit like the weather…everybody talks about it…
but nobody can do anything about it when it happens..!!

Personally, I do believe in the Mayan End Date. Mostly because of my dreams and messages over time that I received about it (without knowing of Mayan End Date beforehand). Recently, in my mind I see a "poof" occurring and I see my spirit as if puffed from the earth and floating contentedly outside in space. Just a symbolization I think. Not that all visions pan out. But I do really trust that something big will happen. Doesn't mean it will be painful or bad. And the pole shift idea resonates with me as well.

Everything renews eventually and the earth has such a history of changes, plate shifts, and buried civilizations as if there have been many iterations on earth. Not just the ones in the history books, but ones dating millions of years.

Not really sure of the connection of the eminent Pole Shift to the Mayan End date or calendar.
Generally I think that calendars and even time are man made things and I’m not too fussed with their connection to the Earths renewal process which may be governed from another dimension that we don’t understand.
I like you believe that something big will happen though…

I hate to burst someones bubble, but it isn't the Earth's magnetic pole that is reversing in 2012, it is the sun's magnetic pole. Which is normal and a lot of people in the radio world have been waiting for, for sometime.

Unless the metal and magma core of the Earth decides to completely turn itself over any time soon, the Earth's magnetic poles will not reverse. They will only wobble around in the northern Canada arctic for some time..



The Orion Prophecy by Author Patrick Geryl is a book that far too many people are taking as fact. But there is no "real" science behind it. Just another Doomsday prophecy that will come and go like the others. It was supposed to happen in 1974 or 1975, as foretold by others as well, but we are still here.

Like my argument with my scientifically-biased husband, it is theory that the core of the earth is magma. So

And as for The Orion Prophecy, I haven't read it. And there are heaps of people who find reason to believe that the earth poles have shifted in the past and will again.

For me, my interest began with dreams that there was a cataclysm coming, or something big. I also dreamed of Mayans and began scrying their symbols in my spirit photos (though I didn't know they were Mayan symbols until I began researching symbols). So I am coming from the opposite "pole" on this controversy - my intuition. I dreamed it first then found other people's writings that explained or resonated with my dreams.

Now, am I picking up on the pool of ideas out there through my dreams? Possible. Is it a precognition? Possible. In my gut, I know something is going to happen. But what, I can only conjecture and so far logic to me is pole reversal.

But all views are important to me, so keep 'em comin.

Oh, and I forgot to say specifically that it is interesting about the sun's magnetic poles reversing! Thanks! And that it will be 2012!

Well, it isn't the case that the poles are going to flip over night. It takes hundreds of years for the poles to flip over as they did very long ago.

As you can see the old locations of the pole in the past 150 or so years ago, the earth is presently working its way from the former reversal and is still presently working it's way to the true north pole.



So you can see, that we have some time, before it starts it's southern drift on the Russian side of the earth.

Again, it wont flip, over night. It is a very long process.

Presently it is moving only 15 km per year to the north. It takes 100,000 years or so, for the Earth to reverse the poles, and that is a very liberal value, as it has never done it during human times.

When it does flip, there is now ill effects on the planet or life on it. Cause of the earth, it does start turning the opposite direction or anything like that. It will rotate in the same direction as it all ways has for millions of years. The earth will still be tilted at 23 degrees and we still will get our seasons, whether we want winter or not..
