I found this while looking in Google for Child & Family support services which accounts for why a number of parents in need of help ring and then receive a visit from the Dept of child safety under notification details...it's disguised under 'Counselling for parents/children' and stated as Dept of Families and communities when this information actually goes to Dept of Child Safety whose only goal is Children's safety from risk of harm from family members especially parents and not to help and support parents...very sly, manipulative and disgusting but typical of a government dept don't you think?!

So parents DO NOT RING THE 1800 177 135 number for help with parenting your children as this will lead you into having the Dept of Child Safety involved who will not support you but belittle what you are doing, turn you offside while your emotional and use normal emotional reactions to abuse as means to remove your children painting you to a magistrate as aggressive. Please beware and be aware of this...

If you have to ring anyone for support, pick a trusted friend who will listen and give you fellow feeling of support and understanding or parentline on 1300 3 1300 just don't give out your last name to be on the safe side... Parents do need support, there's just not much in the way of hands on support around for parents.

Sounds like the ole "Kansas City Shuffle" to me!!! I had no I idea that Australia had so many gaps in the system,or so many phasads to try & trap parents!!! I really feel for ya,I can't imagine feeling so betrayed when searching for guidence concerning my child.

I've read about posts on this site about a group called DOCS. I assume that's the acronym for Department Of Child Services, we don't have that exact group here in the states.What we have is CPS Child Protective Services,& it is nothing like that! AS a matter of fact, you'ed be lucky to get them out to a home if the child himself called reporting abuse!!!

Good for you for putting out a PSA for other parents! I hope you find the guidence you're looking for.Maybe if you tried calling a local counseling center,or theripist they would be able to direct you to a non-government based organization,that is more suited to guide & help parents instead of trying to trap them & tear them down during such a vulnerable time! It's worth a try.You'ed probably deal with people who are more geared towards healing the family unit,& supporting the parents,rather than one geared towards ripping it & you to shreds.

Ever since the Forde Inquiry, That department altered to how they can be above the law, how to twist and manipulate information, The PM of that day was that little scum bag, Johnny Howard.
Children in this country are a commodity to the government and have more value then gold/oil.
Now what gets me and I know I am going to be very sarcastic about(hence why no one here ever chats me with nomore). But what gets me. Is. No one is doing anything about it. No One.
Children are murdered and raped and molested at the hands of DOCS. Families are also ripped apart and fabrication and adding/tampering of files to enhance your either a pedo or a unfit parent/s. But worse of all, these scums Kill love. Love is not built in a day. it takes time and to live as a family,to know one another, Where DOCS dont and wont get to know you, and will come and just Kill that Love between two.
