Ooo! That's a really great capture! I watched it many times trying to see how it might have been created, but it stumps me if it isn't genuine! scratchhead The things going against it is the fact that the camera operator doesn't get any closer (but maybe he is afraid?). Also that the voice sounds young and male (and I can't help but think they are most likely to make a funny trick video).

But the things going for it...the way the little entity moves! His arms move and then he puts his hands behind his back as he strolls away. It seems like a thing a gnome would do. Also, where would someone be to control it like that. If it was a puppet, where was the puppeteer? And if it was mechanical, then it is an excellent mechanical toy.

Wow, this was so cool! Thanks Jaime! elf

Thanks A,

I thought it to be authentic, I had a hard time finding any kind of mechanical hints, it seemed to have very fluid movement.Yes I agree too about the hands, he was very natural to a gnome's movement wasn't he?

I know what you mean though, most of the gnome vids I find these days are of boys his age making a joke or parody clip. But to me this one seemed real. I noticed that he had a bit of the sideways shuffle too. What baffles me scratchhead, is that the gnome seems to have ducked behind the flower pot & dissappeared. You don't even see a trace of his little gnome hat moving behind there! elf

I thought the reason the camera operator didn't go after it, or get closer was to keep from startling it & scaring it away(although the yelling didn't help!) scream.

I just had an inspiring thought to post a compilation of all my fav gnome vid links, I'll get on that now. This way we can compare characteristics!

Thanks for your feed back Alisa,

~JJ~

Oo, I'll look forward to a compilation. I have to say that I do love this video. I'm going to look at it again now and see if I notice the hint of sideways shuffle (ooo!) and look for the gnome fully disappearing behind the pot.

You've got a good eye there, mate! magnify

I feel this is a real gnome. I've taken a few clips to look at more closely. But I wonder why there is this "thing" that seems to move away when the gnome moves away. It looks like a stick or something.

[Linked Image]
Stick-thing

[Linked Image]
I don't think this is his left elbow that sticks out behind him.
Don't know what it is then, but that's okay. dunno
Stick-thing shortened now as gnome turns.

[Linked Image]
Stick thing looks even stranger in this close-up.

[Linked Image]
And it looks like he's holding something that is round at the tip pointing down...dunno2
Looks like he has a short face with two round button eyes (very much like the fairies I've photographed).

[Linked Image]
To clarify, I've dotted his eyes and circled the round thing in blue.

[Linked Image]
Going behind the pot. Stick is gone.

[Linked Image]
Bending over.

[Linked Image]
Filtered -- every shot I filtered showed these "waves". I connect this with energy and usually accompany orbs and other interdimensional images I capture.

Also, I could see lots of spirit in the stills. If this gnome is not genuine, then the intention behind it has certainly drawn spirit to it.

Oh, and I noticed the brief sideways movement of the gnome. highfive

OOO, I am impressed with your investigation skills & commitment to research! You're so tech savvy, one of the things I really admire about you. thumbup Nice findings.

I noticed the stick thing too, but was under the impression that he was holding it in his hand. I will have to take a closer look too. Great finds A, love your work! ja

OK, so here's another gnew gnome video. At first I thought it might be fake, but then I read the comments below the video & saw that someone mentioned something about the mouth moving. So I went back & found the part in the clip & studied it, & now I think it might be real. You can kind of see the lips separate, as if he's trying to smile. Also it looks to keep a wide-open gaze, but the eyes also seem to shift direction. If this was a doll of some sort being manipulated by an accomplice, I would have a hard time believing that a doll could have such natural facial features & movements. Here's the video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEYpK1cJwoY

Tell me what you think.

I also wanted to post this next video as part of the compilation that I promised Alisa in my above post. I've known of this one for a while, I may have even posted it here before, but checking all of my posts for it is such a pain. I'll just post it here anyway to make things simple.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-205Ez2BiGg

Now in this video, which I believe to be real, I love the way he is running, almost like a skip which is very similar to the way my grandfather described the movement of gnomes in Germany.

Another thing I found interesting, is that this being looks like it could be a toddler right? Except I don't know of any toddlers who are that agile & quick on their feet w/out some sort of stumbling about.

I also found that although the height of this 'lil guy could be toddler sized, the frame of the body still seems too mature to be a child. The body strikes me as something "adult", rather than child-like.

I wish the poster could have caught the both of them, but I'm just thrilled with the one she did manage to catch on film. I think this video is a real treat!

Next I'll post the most common gnome videos on the net. I'd love to hear any comments on the authenticity of them. I do believe these to be real gnomes as well. Enjoy!

I see similarities between the first two videos you posted at end so I believe those are true because you can notice that they are both the same size not really tiny or small and they wobble/walk the same way. I find that to be incredible that they are almost identical in that aspect. As far as the Mexican videos go those gnomes/duendes were a bit too fast for me to see and the videos were really blurry. urgh!!! I hate blurry pixel videos where it's hard to see crap man all I saw was fast little tiny feet and a hat but why are they so small in that area? but boy those kids were sure scared:)

hi JJ and Alisa I would just like to say I just saw the very first video you posted and I studied the stills that Alisa took. I went back to the video and notice that he is holding a "stick thing," but the other part of it the one that Alisa circle in blue looks like it was already there are part of the rock or plant that is there. When you see the gnome leave the "other" part is still there he didn't take it with him. Just go back and see the other little part that I thought was connected to the "stick thing" is still there do you guys see it?

Truly entertaining and enlightening! Thanks for the compilation, Jaime! I appreciate all the effort.

The first one is really intriguing. When you read the comments of the person posting the video, etc., her own insistence and defence adds validity. It is also validating that she is only posting one unexpected capture amongst many other videos that are not in the least about gnomes, etc.

I also like the 3rd one with the sideways shuffling gnome. It seems so detailed and strange. It would be stranger to fake it than to capture it. A lot of times this is the case. Like who would think up such a thing or mannerisms of the gnome, etc.

Also the last one where they girls are doing the video game dancing and they unexpectedly capture something. Though I can't see exactly what they've captured, their reactions and comments seem to add validation.

Some of the others, like the little entities under the ladder also seem valid.

However, I'm going to go ahead and say they are all valid. It's interesting when you think of our tendency (as a society) to feel fear of thinking something is true and finding out that someone faked it, more so than fearing we write-off something wondrous as false and close the door to other marvellous possibilities. Why isn't the latter a scarier prospect? chuckle

Thanks for sharing the video, Chick. I love your picks for flicks! movie

Oh, and OQ, it's probably true the gnome is only carrying a stick and not the thing I circled. Good spotting! holmes
