Now i think this would mean, CathyB, that you are in the organisation "Books not Bombs" So basically, the real way to win the war is to throw books at Saddam. I suppose the title of these "peaceful" books would be: "How not to kill innocent people as well as your own. 4th Edition"<br />Now that is ridiculous! Holly cow, you'd think we were at war...<br /><br />Take it easy guys, Try and think back to a time long long ago when you were young and less synical..<br /><br />A long time ago, I know.<br /><br />But while Cathy's ideals may be a bit symplistic and idealist, we all would agree with her in theory.. We would all love to see a world with no wars, all children educated and the world a safe a peaceful rosy place..<br /><br />Unfortunately we have grown up, been subjected to asshole politicians and a powerful few who really control the world and we know better..<br /><br />In the end we end up fighting against each other and working like slaves, consuming, reproducing and dying...<br /><br />The only real thing we know and Cathy should appreciate, is that at least in Australia Cathy, you can have an oposing opinion and we can bag you out if we don't like it and at the end of the day the police or army will not come around in the middle of the night and wisk you or your family away !!<br /><br />This is what it really means to live any where in the world, not just Iraq, under the rule of a dictator, Saddam Hussain in this case.<br /><br />There are no bombs for books protests in Iraq, there is no opposition, no civil rights movements, no unions, no democracy, no female input whatsoever, freedom of speach, etc etc etc...<br /><br />This is the real issue..<br /><br />Don't let other people tell what the issues are, research, look around and talk to all political schools of thought. Make up your own mind !<br /><br />It's easy to be a yankie basher and call it an oil war, but don't worry, France, Germany Australia and everyone else are only hypocrits in it for the oil etc as well..<br /><br />Just remember this, after WWII all the countries liberated by the allies, and the US in particular were rehabilitated into major democraphic wealthy world powers.<br /><br />The countries invaded by Russia and your "socialist" buddies fell to communism, were stagnated for 60 years intellictually, politically and socially. <br /><br />You make your own decision, and think for your childrens future as well...!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/default/confused.gif" />
