This applies to people with starters that have a "D6RA" prefix on the label.
My own is on the verge of dying from age, and I've checked an overseas (UK) source for bits. If you're a capable DIY type then it seems a brush/bush kit and solenoid can be fitted for much less than the outright cost of a new unit.
Thinking of bringing over four kits - one for me and three for other similarly parsimonious types. With postage they should be around $60/pop or less. I reckon an evening remaking your starter rates far better than what's on wallyvision.
Anyone genuinely interested should post expression of their sentiment below...
Cheers!

Ebay price for new: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/STARTER-MOTO...arts_Accessories&hash=item53e376788cDear Sir, The SND12904 is in stock @ 17.60 GBP each. The SBR5811 are in stock @ 9.44 GBP per set. All prices are plus VAT unless you have a VAT number. I ordered a pair of each (one available for onselling), then paid 15 airmail on top. That's $65 a set - pretty good value IMO, considering either rebuild or replacement has you taking off the starter and bolting one on.
