By any chance did any of you see Today Tonight last night on Channel 7 at 6.30PM?.
Yes they were raiding the computer and normal markets to see who was selling Pirated copies of DVD's, and they have a FUCKING hide to tell you that you are ripping the movie studios off + others
FUCK OFF!!!!!
The movie producers and the manafuctures are ripping the public off. How in the hell do you justify $42 for a single disc of "PEARL HARBOUR"?.
They have to be joking!!, If these pathetic greedy scumbags want to stop piracy sell your DVD's at a realistic price.
Do you realy think that a DVD is worth around 40 Bucks and I don't give a shit about the kick backs they have to pay to all the hanger on's they are 200% far too expensive.
If they want to stop piracy instead of sending your bully thugs arresting people at the markets sell your DVD's at a real price, NOT higher than $20 because if you sell an average DVD from $15 to $20 piracy will dry up over night and what you meat heads can't see is if you sell them cheaper you will sell a thousand times more a day.
As that shop owner said the markets sell in 2 hrs more than they sell in 1 week. Now why Huuummmm!!! Its mathematics. Why would you want to spend $100 on 2.2 movies when for the same amount you can by nearly 7 pirated with identical quality.
Don't listen to this shit about not being not as good quality, what a lot of propaganda shit!.

Its like PAY TV you want to beat PIRACY? Match it in prices because only HUMAN GREED causes this problem
And did you hear the commentator say! Yes the markets selling these DVD's are ripping the public off. Wake up, its the other way around.
Phil

I cant keep quite on this debate! As I do some authoring of DVDs myself, I can tell you something that I am sure you will not know.

Take a guess at what you think a movie (yep even dual layered DVD) would cost a studio. Okay this is in large quantaties, but that is what they order anyway.

Okay if you think under 5.00 you are right but lower...

Under 2.00, you are still right but lower...

Under 1.00 surely not WRONG.... The cost to mass produce a DVD dual layered is now below 1.00 and that includes the plastic cover, cover label printing, disc cost, printing and disc silk screen printing!
