I thought I'd share this little spirit experience I just had...
I made a nice sandwich for lunch and decided to sit outside on the patio to eat it. It is an overcast day, but after lots of quite hot days, it is temperate and a bit breezy today - nice. I took a cookbook along to browse as I ate. I sat at the table facing east where only a fence and sky are visible (no trees for spirit gazing). But I projected a desire from my mind that I'd like to see spirit anyway if it was willing.
I proceeded to eat and flip through the book, thinking only of food, the recipes, and enjoying my crunch veggie sandwich. When I finished the first half of my sandwich I took a break and looked up at the sky. There in the patch of sky visible to me beneath the table's umbrella was a huge face formed from the clouds. For a split second it seemed 3-D and its eyes were most poignantly alive. But quite quickly it became a 2-D outline, but still a quite obvious face to me.
The face was wide and the lips large and there was a patch of bright white cloud, whiter than the rest, around the mouth area. It took me only a moment to decipher this as a hand poised at the mouth and I thought toward it with a grin on my face, Yes, I am eating!
I was tickled at the idea that not only had a spirit shown up, but was communicating.
I created a quick image in GIMP to give an impression of the cloud/spirit (as I didn't have my camera with me at the time to take a photo, not to mention the vision didn't last long).
I like this. But you know me, I'm a cloud person at heart.
You did a real good job of your rendition of the cloud spirit. I think the it wanted to visit with you because you have such a cheerful welcoming light in your spirit.
Thank you so much for the comment, Dawn. Interestingly, I have not had as strong a connection with clouds as some of my friend. You have seen and captured many wondrous formations. And Starchie also has an affinity for clouds and has experienced awesome stuff.
Thinking deeply about this, I feel I may have had a block within myself about clouds, seeing spirit in them, and bringing it out to share because I felt it was easier for people to be dismissive and skeptical about cloud spirit since so many people cloud gaze and make nothing of it other than what they deem as pure fancy (meaningless). And I didn't want an inference to be drawn between seeing spirit in all of nature with what has become popularly stripped of meaning because of the ease of spotting and the quantity of identifiable shapes of spirit in clouds.
