Heya every1....

I was searching threw google for TARBS and i found this website - its absolutely great!

Any way As some of you may know Channel 31 in Sydney was shut down months ago, and TVS the new guys that run UHF31, will soon be looking for program providers. I am registered as a program provider with the new TVS. When TVS asks for people with programs to approach them (expected later in the year) i want to approach them with a Science/Technology show.

I was looking threw this site and u guys seem to know what your talking about!

So if anyone has any ideas for what u think is a good idea for the show or if you wish to be On the show... please leave a reply. Thanks

Joseph Safi.

Watch out for SBS in Sydney they will shit on you, they hated TARBS, and they will hate anyone that shows anything about Ethnic Television, you can say SBS are like Foxtel they want no competition.
I think in QLD Bruce 31 is still going but I can't get it,pity its not on the FTA Digital platform.
Phil

sorry for the dely in reply.....

Yea im not so sure SBS will support us 2 much...?

I can only hope someone in commercial TV has some common scence and not only money on their minds.

As for was c31 folded or punshed

I can honestly say Both.

CTS the old guys thought they were going to get the licence no matter what.
The ABA and TVS thought otherwise and they lost it. the ABA reason for loosing it was that CTS did not represent the community well enough in comparison to the TVS application and CTS lost it.

so yea... what do u think

I have the old Sydney Ch35 transmitter in my possesion. To bad that channel space is being used by digital tv now. I took the transmitter to East Timor and got a licence to use it over there.
The licence is still current, but the transmitter is now back in Sydney. I had no problems with any competiton or silly laws, just not a big viewer base. Some expates appreciated Australian feeds with the need for anything but a UHF TV.

I have more ideas from program content than I can poke a stick at, I also have the equipment to transmit that content !

You must know that Julie VK2XBR built the springwood ATV transmitter. When it was taken off air, when the south coast digital translator was due to come online. It sat in his shack doing nothing. I told him I had a use for it, so he sent it up to me in Timor and I put it on air up there with some simple antennas. When I left, I took it down and brought it home.

My own transmitters cover most of the microwave ham bands (and then some) with enough output power to make them useful. Also have C and Ku band uplinks, but my antenna got damaged in a big storm and I have not rebuilt it.
