Now We the family were nearly a Statistic on Saturday Driving on Old Nothern road. Why?
The IDIOTS THAT HAVE THOSE BLACK BABY COVERS COVERING THE REAR FUCKING DOORS, Why do I say this?
They the driver of these vehicle cannot see a car in their blind spot clearly so what did that idiot driver do ? she changed lane whilst I was in the lane next to her and this was on the Bridge heading towards the fire station. I could have headed from the Bridge railing and over a huge drop and it would have been the end of us. IT WAS ONLY LUCK and a dry road that saved us.
200m up the road at a set of red traffic lights the driver of that car a young female in a blue BA ford apologised that she did not see me but what bothers me was she had these black covers on both rear windows and she had no baby in the baby seat, and to make it worse I have a white Commodore. What fucking chance have you got if you have a black car or you are a motorbike in that blind spot.
I pulled up the local shopping centre to put my heart back in its place and I was talking to a bike rider and he tells me he keeps his bike noisy
so a car in the next lane can hear him in a situation like this but he has been defected for excessive noise, removed the Noisy muffler and only a day later he was knocked of his bike by another motorist and luckily he ended up in a grass paddock.
I want all of you to complain about these DANGEROUS COVERS FITTED TO THE REAR DOOR WINDOWS and what pisses me off whilst yesterday doing some Sunday shopping I spotted 4 cars with them when they drove in the parking area and in each case there was no baby in the seat
No Baby REMOVE THE COVERS YOU FUCKING IDIOTS!!!!
Phil

What about the asian drivers, changing friggen lanes without checking mirrors, looking from their shoulders. They change the friggen lane all the sudden whenever they like and causing big time danger for the drivers travelling in the next lane. I had over three incidents and thanks god, my 6th sense saved me from an accident. All I can say, beware of the asian drivers on the road. Once, I witnessed a rear kerb parking and tried not to laugh laudly when she did over 10 trials and hit/went over the kerb at the end with few scratches...Regards...

Phil
Yes i know that bridge
Its a big drop if you go over it and i have to agree those sun protectors for the rear windows are a danger to other motorist, something has to be done to remove them.
God knows how many accidents they have caused because they restrict the drivers vision and pitty bike riders If you see a car with them keep away

fsking
I think we best keep the Race out of this but Phil is correct these devices to stop the sun blind the driver driving in a multi lane hwy and makes it harder to see a small quite vehicle next to you in the blind spot.
And like he said most of the time there is no baby on board
George

Yes Boring i'm with you on that one. This week I witnessed a Elderly Driver misuse a roundabout.
Instead of making a U turn around the roundabout she made a right hand turn at the start of the round about in front of the Police Station which nearly caused a head on.

They are called SUNDAY DRIVERS in sydney and we all know that you need to take extra caution when following or passing them on the road...

I spoke to the Police today and they directed me to Queensland Transport.
I was transferred a few times and ended up with a Mr Alan ????? From QLD transport, I explained to him
what happened and He told me to put pen to paper as he will be taking this matter to the next meeting with the Police.
See this is not the first time this has happened.
I will keep you all informed on the outcome.

Have heard of similar stories in Sydney, people are getting fed up with them causing accidents.
It will be very interesting for the outcome as I know there is one court case going on at the moment about these and an incident so my brother tells me. Whatever happened to Vlad on the forums? Has he gone missing?
Cathy

Yes we removed these socks after my wife had a close call.
I agree they should be banned as they do block the vision of the driver of the vehicle, It will take a smart arse Lawyer to do some suing and you watch QLD transport cover there arse's and ban them.

Yes piss these covers off They must have bribed the Transport Dept to ever allow them on the road, You get booked for window tinting, these covers are BLACK compared to tinting get rid of them, maybe you need a smart arse lawyer with a axe to grind to start a campaign against them.

Well I finally got a Reply from QLD Transport.
In Brief they are saying they are not illegal and in brief QUOTE " THE ISSUE OF WHETHER OR NOT THE FITTING OF SUN PROTECTOR CONTRAVENES THE RULES DESCRIBED ABOVE IS NOT CLEAR.
In other words they don't know what the left hand is doing to the right hand, its the blind leading the blind, Typical I expected this.
Now this letter not dated at all but signed by A/director (Strategic Policy) is just another broom job.
Well any Lawyers out there, this is your opportunity because as far as I'm concerned anyone hurt or killed after this date I hold the Qld Government responsible. Now wouldn't it look bad if anyone that is killed or injured after I have bought it to their attention that there is a problem with thest sun protectors. They have a hide to tell me its the responsibility of the driver to use his mirrors to make sure there is not a car beside him or her, honestly I think they have no clue. There is no doubt about it, there will be more accidents because of people changing lanes caused by these sun protectors and I cannot for the love of money understand why Queensland transport is not interested, maybe a massive lawsuit might change that.
Phil
