I am having LOTS of trouble swallowing the story from yesterday that Obama (whom my mind is totally interchanging and entwining with Osama as I read all these news stories - sync!!), is responsible for having Osama Bin Laden killed. In fact, I cannot swallow it.

As I read story after story, conspiracy-oriented and White House-oriented, I drifted into an altered state and heard, Osama died 10 years ago. This snapped me to full consciousness.

After a bit of searching I found this blog entry from Jan 2008 entitled: Benazir Bhutto: Omar Sheikh Murdered Osama bin-Laden. It starts with a video of Bhutto where at 2:16 min into it while talking about terrorist connections she said, "...Omar Sheikh, the man who murdered Osama Bin Laden," then continues talking and the interviewer doesn't seek clarification on this from her as to whether she misspoke, or whether she let some cat out of a bag. She was assassinated two months later, so no clarification possible now.

Though looking through the whole, long interesting blog post, at the end there is another video which explains away Bhutto's statement of Osama Bin Laden being murdered (in Dec 2001) as a slip-of-the-tongue, which is possible.

Whatever the case, the circumstances are far too suspicious for me to simply believe President Barack Obama, in the midst of the serious economic troubles in the US, his birth certificate scandal, etc., successfully ordered and had executed the killing of Osama Bin Laden, just because the White House says so. After all, the US Government (along with Australia and Great Britain) assured us all that they had proof of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - and I totally believed them even writing to Prime Minister Howard who was getting such a serving from the public because of his support of President Bush's push for war, in a bid to show my faith that I believed in their leadership...only to end up with egg on my face, but with a valuable lesson learned and never to be forgotten!

That lesson for me is that current leaders and governments lie. Yes, I was that starry-eyed to believe they did not. In fact, I have a very strong ability for faith which I would never relinquish, but that I would also not apply to that which has proven itself unworthy, ie., current world governments.

I totally agree with you Alisa! isn't it so convenient that Osama was killed on Obama's watch right on time when there was a scandal about his birth certificate? I think not!!! what a way to divert attention from the people from that to this! I think somebody is trying to gather votes for re-election in 2012! hmmm I wonder who that could be, do you happen to know?
