Small earthquake of magnitude 3.1 reported 33 miles northwest of Tonopah, Nevada, United States

Just 33 minutes ago, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Tonopah, Nye County, Nevada, USA. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Saturday 23 January 2021 at 8:12 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 6.6 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 2.8.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Mina (pop. 160, 22 miles away), and Tonopah (pop. 2,500, 33 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
