Just 22 minutes ago, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Heroica Ciudad de Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, Mexico. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Monday 19 July 2021 at 9:50 pm local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 58 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN), which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well.
