Just 13 minutes ago, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck near Laval, Mayenne, Pays de la Loire, France. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, at 7:37 am local time, at a shallow depth of 13.6 km below the surface.
The event was filed by France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
