I had another OMG dream last night... But this way was WAY out there... Completely off the wall - especially for me.

I have never dreamed anything like it at all. I can't go into the finer details about it here because it's NOT at all appropriate for this forum... I don't even think it's appropriate to actually talk about at all.

But what possesses us to conjure up imaginings that we would NOT even contemplate in reality?

Is it simply because the conscious self would not do such a thing, so therefore the subconscious self "goes there" and explores?

And what does it mean to go to a place that is so unnatural to a dreamer?

Seriously, I don't even think a dream analysis would cover topics that I saw in my dream last night. I can have a look and see what it means to dream about a cat, or a snake or something like that... But not what was going on in my head in the wee hours thismorning.

The meaning of it eludes me.

Well, I can't help but want desperately to know what you dreamed about now.

I have dreams that are just well beyond what I could consciously imagine. But I also have night time experiences that I know are "not" dreams, but alternate realities, or other dimensions, in which I dwell. My dreams can be imaginative lessons created by me/myself/I and my guides. Or other various possible things...but I almost always take away a gem of knowledge about myself from studying them.

I am usually intentionally wakened in the wee hours (3:00-ish most often) to ensure I remember the (bizarre) dream experience.

So, are we talking sex, murder, snakes wearing vests and rolling donuts, or what?

There are some things I am happy to divulge. But there are others that are so not me that it makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable to even think about let alone divulge.

The dream was in 2 parts, one after the next. The whole dream didn't last that long - mere minutes. One was possible (if you have the physical ability) and the other was a taboo. Well, more like ILLEGAL in a social society of way sort of way. There's a WORD for it.

The whole lot was to do with sex.

Nothing at all to do with homosexuality though - not even the WORD had any association to homosexuality.

I understand.

I have dreamed of so many shocking things, things I could not conceive of doing in reality. Once 20 years ago, my most precious earthly connections were to my cats. And one night I dreamed I put my cat in a blender and turned it on! I woke up sweating with stress, shocked that I would dream such a thing.

These days (nights) I dream of strange, uncomfortable, forbidden things, and all types of sexual scenarios exploring many things that I'd faint from, or run screaming from, if I tried in waking life. It has worked to desensitize me. And it is my belief that this is good. I want there to be nothing taboo to myself that I can't even think of or imagine. Even if it is something I definitely don't want to do in my waking life. I want to be 100% conscious of all things possible. Otherwise I'll be blind to some angle.

a very interesting thing happened to me the other morning.
When I woke up I looked at the ceiling and it was covered with
Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. The images lasted a few seconds only
and I wanted them to last longer. I remember thinking I wish I understood what was presented to me. I felt hopeless that I could not photograph
such a thing to follow it up. I did remember a few of the symbols and I
jotted them down so I can look them up later. As for the dream ….
nothing..NadA! I cant remember a thing at all.
I find it so interesting how part of the brain switches off (conscious) and the other keeps going (subconscious) depending if you are sleeping or awake that is. Then things get a little muddled when waking up (the crossover point) I believe that messages and other levels of communication take place. The spirits seem to be quite happy to become active during this time too and perhaps webbed in crossover point like we do at times. The tricky part is getting the interpretation right I suppose.

I'd be ever so interested in whatever you found regarding the symbols you were able to jot down.

I experience similar, waking up to seeing symbols. A couple of weeks ago I woke to see an enormous symbol of the Eye of Ra. And it is curious that I somehow often know the names of the symbols (such as "Eye of Ra" ), as if the symbol/s is accompanied by instruction or some translation. One morning I woke to the Eye of Osiris and I knew it was distinctly meant NOT to be the Eye of Horus. And I thought to myself...fair enough, but I didn't [consciously] know about the eye of either!

I will say, regarding my own experience, that in the case of the Eye of Ra, as I woke an entity that I know as "the mother" was speaking to me, giving me instruction on my spiritual quest, and this symbol appeared above her.

the Ankh = Symbol of life
an Owl = M
a Flax = H
a Cane = Cloth = S (the one I saw was facing the other way)
a Chick = U W
a Lion = L
an a Woman symbol

Its hard for me to get the interpretation because this is such a small sample of what I saw. Perhaps something additional will evolve in time and the whole thing will transire into the right meaning for me eventually.
I’m sure that if there is massage coming my way it’s only a matter of time before it’s delivered by its carrier.
Reading about the Ankh symbol was very enjoyable I must admit.
