The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.6 quake in the United States near Hurricane, Washington County, Utah, only 11 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021, at 3:36 pm local time at a shallow depth of 12 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.6 as well.
