Magnitude 4.1 earthquake strikes near Fort McPherson, Inuvik Region, Northwest Territories, Canada4.1 quake 13 Feb 1:52 pm (GMT -7) Just 14 minutes ago, a 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Fort McPherson, Inuvik Region, Northwest Territories, Canada. The tremor was recorded around noon on Sunday, February 13th, 2022, at 1:52 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 6.2 miles below the surface. The event was filed by the Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), the first seismological agency to report it. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Fort McPherson (pop. 1,100) located 41 miles from the epicenter.
