A magnitude 4.6 earthquake near Kandrian, West New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea, was reported 34 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at a moderately shallow depth of 56.3 km beneath the epicenter in the afternoon on Monday, April 11th, 2022, at 4:53 pm local time.
