Just 10 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Pāhala, Hawaii County, Hawaii, USA. The tremor was recorded late at night on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at 10:26 pm local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 20 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.3 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.3.
