Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.5 just reported 40 km northeast of Sorsogon, Philippines

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred only 19 minutes ago 40 km northeast of Sorsogon, Philippines, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Sorsogon, Bicol, Philippines, early morning on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, at 3:56 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.5 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Bagacay (pop. 3,200) located 25 km from the epicenter, Gubat (pop. 14,000) 30 km away, Sorsogon (pop. 82,700) 40 km away, Irosin (pop. 20,700) 54 km away, and Virac (pop. 15,100) 59 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Legazpi (pop. 179,500) located 66 km from the epicenter, Bulan (pop. 28,500) 68 km away, Tagas (pop. 15,300) 69 km away, and Tabaco City (pop. 57,900) 74 km away.
