3.7 quake 34 km north of Phang Nga, Thailand, Feb 13, 2023 2:43 pm (GMT +7)

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake near Phang Nga, Thailand, was reported 35 minutes ago by Thailand's Earthquake Observation Division (TMD), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 4 km beneath the epicenter early afternoon on Monday, February 13th, 2023, at 2:43 pm local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.7 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.7.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Khao Lak (pop. 1,700) located 26 km from the epicenter, and Phang Nga (pop. 9,700) 34 km away. In Krabi (pop. 31,200, 91 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
