Small tremor of magnitude 3.5 just reported 19 miles northeast of Jackson, Wyoming, United States 3.5 quake 11 Feb 6:22 pm (GMT -7) An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred only 14 minutes ago 19 miles northeast of Jackson, Wyoming, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported. The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 3.1 miles beneath the epicenter near Jackson, Teton County, Wyoming, USA, early evening on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 6:22 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake as well. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake at magnitude 3.5, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 3.5. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Kelly (pop. 140) located 13 miles from the epicenter, Jackson (pop. 10,500) 19 miles away, South Park (pop. 1,700) 21 miles away, Rafter J Ranch (pop. 1,100) 21 miles away, Moose Wilson Road (pop. 1,800) 22 miles away, Wilson (pop. 1,500) 24 miles away, and Hoback (pop. 1,200) 26 miles away. In Victor (pop. 2,000, 36 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
